Absolutely mind-blown about these pedals!

In a market saturated with so many great pedals let me show you why the imsim talentos are the best loadcell pedals I have ever reviewed. At a glance they look very similar to other high end pedals but they have many excellent features. Ive been eagerly awaiting to test these since simracing expo 2021. Now that they have been out, imsim has sent one for review which I have been extensively testing. I think you should pay attention to these.

Imsim is not a company that is as known as other simracing brands the market. They were centered in boutique type movement rigs, the Alma and now the Terra. The parent company of imsim has been in the machining, automotive, testing and machine building space for over 30 years. They bring all of this experience into simracing and now that IMSIM is coming with a more grounded simracing product other than the rigs. A bit of trivia, IMSIM delivers those high dollar rigs with equipment as the customer desires. One of the reasons they decided to create these was they could have better quality control as some of the pedals chosen had higher failure rates than they wanted. The choices they made may sound strangest first, but with the industrial background, they will make sense.

As for prices the base two pedals are 615pounds, 754 dollars, or 700 euros, the version I have for test has all the bells and whistles putting it just over 1000 pounds. That’s not far off Heusinkveld Ultimate money.

With all os these changes I can tell you the talentos are my favorite loadcell pedals that Ive tried by some margin. The prototypes Ive tried at SRE21 were excellent. The production pedals, absolutely blew me away. I try to gauge the usability of pedals based on the track performance compared to the pedals that used to be on my rig, the fanatec V3. I must say, not only these match the V3 in performance, but surpass them quite easily beating my times by some margin even after an hiatus and not being so active as I was last year. The throttle control is fantastic with all of those options. As the force is not linear throughout the progression of the pedal its easily gauged.

The brake pedal, though, it’s easily all the rage in this set. With the performance kit youll have all the possibilities to customise the pedals to your wishes. With preload spring, without it, as a rock or one with tremendous progression. Because of the stopper guides, the elastomers will have a shelf life as indicated as factory standards. That also is the case with the stock brake pedal elastomers and due to them being softer the brake pedal unit will give an interesting physical feedback. The pre load spring travel will indicate what is the range of trailbraking force, then when both stopper guides meet, it indicates where the 100% of brake force is. That means no more wasted force in the brake pedal by over braking pass the 100%, a more physical and insitintictive brake feedback and of course, resulting in a more precise and replicable braking experience. A corner that requires 100% pedal activation and then release for trailibraking will have two distinct pedal feels. A hard one where the brake is fully engaged that may be kept at 100% as much as its needed to slow to the corner, then trailing it off when the pedal changes again to a softer feel. Or a twisty section that just requires a marginal brake application  A loadcell system with some sort of physical feedback is for me an absolute game changer. Of course, if you dont want this, its all up to you how you want your pedals, the stopper is there to maximise the shelf life of the elastomer. This may be used in other ways, where the under percent is before the stoppers meet, or even after they meet. Even though the elastomers will be fully compressed, the loadcell may be activated until 180Kilo. As swapping the elastomers is so simple, finding your own setup will take very little time.

While pricey, the pedal set reflects the quality and passion imsim injected into the Talentos. Every single part chosen is high end, made to last. The build is absolutely rocksolid. The driving experience is phenomenal. Everything says you are not just buying a pedal set. You are buying expertise and something to last years to come.
